Care to step out of your tent for a little wine tasting?

nullCamp grounds are going upscale! I guess gone are the days when you pitched a tent and roast hot dogs over the fire. Now you pull up in your RV (that cost more then the average home) and make reservations at the restaurant. While many parks have had small stores and/or snack bars, or maybe even a pancake breakfast, now some park are adding full service restaurants - and even wine tasting!

Sundermeier RV Park in St. Charles, MO has Beef Eaters Pub & Grill, which they encourage patrons to "try our specialty - a Beef Eaters Black Angus Steak - grilled to perfection". Beef Eaters also offers a wide selection cocktails. Kamp Klamath, in Northern California offers an all-you-can-eat barbecued salmon or chicken dinner complete with salad, rice pilaf, vegetables - and for only $8.50!

Palms RV Park in Dickinson, TX is opening an on-site "sports grill" next month. Thunder Bay Golf & RV Park in Hillman, MI advertises an "Elk Viewing Sleigh/Carriage Ride, Gourmet Dinner & Wine Tasting" that includes sampling locally produced wines The sign in the restaurant announces that you should "be prepared to be pampered." Wine Country RV Park in Paso Robles brings in local wineries to do wine tastings on site. This month's wineries include
Stacked Stone Cellars, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Garden and J. Lohr.

I guess were not calling it "roughing it" anymore...
