My Trip East: A Pleasant Surprise

My recent trip to the Northeast required six travel legs by air and candidly I was dreading it. Unpleasant visions of fuel surcharges, baggage fees, inordinate delays resulting in missed flights and surly personnel clouded my mind.

My route of travel was San Francisco to Kennedy International in New York then to Rochester, New York then four days later from Rochester back to Kennedy, then to Portland, Maine and twenty four hours later from Portland to Kennedy and back to San Francisco.

It was an itinerary with the potential to become an apocalyptic vision of hell! What a pleasant surprise! Full but not crowded flights; on time departures and arrivals; comfortable seats; cheerful and accommodating service mostly rendered with a smile; great in-flight entertainment options and an agreeable complete out the door price tag of $833.50 per person for tickets purchased fifteen days in advance.

The carrier was JetBlue, an airline from which I have consistently received good service and good value. I commend them to your consideration. If they fly where you want to go you’d be wise to give them a try.
