The Wine Country Trip Planner

I wanted to let everyone know that I have added a new feature to my Website, WineCountryGetaways.com. I call it the Trip Planner.

This nifty tool adds an additional feature to what I think is currently the Web’s best guide to the wine regions of Northern and Central California. Visitors to WineCountryGetaways.com can use this versatile free tool to wisely plan their adventure to the wine country. The planning tool works with Google Maps and user can generate a map and directions from their home to each winery on their itinerary.

The Trip Planner can be used in two ways. The wineries can be selected alphabetically or by region. When a tasting room is displayed on the map, the user can click on the pinpoint and a popup box appears listing information about the winery. When a user plans their trip by region such as the Napa Valley, they can narrow down the choices by selecting from a set of criteria that include: “Tours,” “Organic Wineries,” “Picnic Facilities”, “Family-Owned,” and “Bocce Courts.” In addition there is a short descriptor that will give the user noteworthy information about that winery. Tasting room hours and tour times are also provided. We will be adding more regions in the future. The wine regions of Lodi, Livermore, Lake County, and Calaveras will be added soon.
