2009 Arcata Oyster Fest

I attended this Oyster Fest & I was Threatened and Physically Assaulted in clear view of on site Police ..
After this I was " at once " with no Questions asked Hand Cuffed and Detained for 6 hours in the Eureka Jail drunk tank, Although I Had not had 1 drink YET ..
In My opinion This 2009 Oyster Fest is a Police Trap to Make Money for the county ..
I've been notified that 17 other Local residence were Jailed for 6 hrs. also for NO JUST CAUSE!!
As well as Many Many other people who went..
This is a Rude & Not very American ( or Northern California ) Way to Approach the Public..
Considering This event is a 4 Block Party with street blocked for the Event with Drinking Allowed in the ( Blocked ) Street Designated Area..
I was also informed that near the end of the day the Police were Waiting & Watching the 5 Bars in the " Drinking Area " to Hand cuff Patrons Under the influence as well as ANYBODY NEAR THEM . NOW QUESTIONS ASKED AND FORCEFULLY HANDLED PHYSICALLY!!
I would NOT Suggest this Fest to Attend AT ALL IF DRINKING OR NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
